The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) is honored to partner with Smart Patients, an online health community for patients and caregivers across a wide range of diseases. SRNA partnership extends this community to those affected by a spectrum of rare neuroimmune disorders – Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM), MOG Antibody-Associated Disease (MOG-Ab disease), Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD), Optic Neuritis (ON), and Transverse Myelitis (TM).

The online support of the Smart Patients community complements the education and outreach programs of SRNA, which include podcasts, bi-annual symposia, local support groups, annual family camps, and the SRNA website, which provides comprehensive information to support those with these rare neuroimmune disorders. The SRNA website includes access to a physician network to locate practitioners who know, understand, and treat these disorders.

Smart Patients was designed to create more effective access to resources for people in our community, as well as to extend these resources to an even broader group of patients. We hope to accelerate and intensify the sharing of information about treatments, the latest science, and how it all fits into the context of personal experience.

Join Smart Patients, ask a question, and support others who can learn from you.

About Smart Patients

We believe patients are the most underutilized resource in healthcare. We've watched patients become experts in their conditions — and we see that their knowledge improves the care they receive. With the right tools, you and other patients can do the same.

Patients often become extraordinarily knowledgeable about their disease. You can, too.
