Welcome to the 2016 Regional Rare Neuro-Immune Disorders Symposium for Transverse Myelitis (TM) (including the subtype Acute Flaccid Myelitis), Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD), Optic Neuritis (ON) and Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM).

This conference hosted by The Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA) and The University of Colorado, Denver is dedicated to the exchange of information regarding diagnosis, research and treatment strategies and to providing an opportunity to bring together the community of individuals diagnosed with these rare neuro-immune diseases, families, caregivers and the medical professionals who have interest and are specializing in these disorders.

This is the first regional conference focused on rare neuro-immune disorders.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Acquire an understanding of rare neuro-immune disorders (TM, NMOSD, AFM, ADEM and ON) and how they relate to each other
  2. Learn about the latest therapies and strategies to manage the symptoms associated with these chronic rare neuro-immune disorders, including clinical studies and future treatment strategies

AUDIENCE

This conference is open to all individuals diagnosed with AFM, TM, NMOSD, ON or ADEM, their families and caregivers. Medical professionals interested in these diseases are also welcome to attend.

Denver International Airport to University of Colorado Hospital:

Taxi – $53.00, travel time 24-28 min.

 

From Springhill Suites to Conference Location:

Driving directions –  When exiting the hotel, turn right onto Colfax Avenue. Turn right onto Quentin Street and then left onto 16th Avenue.  Parking Lot 7 will be on your left and the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion 2/

Bruce Schroffel Conference Center is adjacent to the parking lot. You can also park in Lot 6 which is on your right and across the street from the Conference Center.

Taxi – $5.00, travel time 4 min.

Driving to University of Colorado Denver:

If you are driving to the University of Colorado Hospital, follow these directions. Parking is free at the University of Colorado Hospital, but not in general campus parking, so make sure to park in Lot 7 next to the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion 2/Bruce Schroffel Conference Center.
