Teri L. Schreiner, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Neurology at University of Colorado  

Dr. Schreiner is a neuroimmunology specialist and pediatric neurologist at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado. She sub-specializes in pediatric onset demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system and haes begun a multi-disciplinary clinic for children with these disorders. Dr. Schreiner see patients at both the Rocky Mountain MS Center at the Anschutz Pavilion of the University of Colorado and at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Her areas of interest include immune-mediated neurologic disease, spinal cord syndromes, including acute flaccid myelitis, quality of life in pediatric patients with demyelinating disease, biomarkers of multiple sclerosis and clinical trials. She earned a master’s degree in health policy and administration. Dr. Schreiner worked in health care consulting for several years prior to my career in medicine.



Augusto Miravalle, M.D., FAAN
Associate Professor of Neurology at University of Florida | Associate Chair of Education | Chief, Multiple Sclerosis Division

Dr. Miravalle is an Associate Professor of Neurology, Associate Chair for Education and Chief of the Multiple Sclerosis Division at the, University of Florida College of Medicine. He sub-specializes in Multiple Sclerosis and related neuro-immunological disorders of the brain and spinal cord. He has particular interest in gray matter pathology, particularly neocortical volume changes, cortical lesions, and their impact on cognitive and physical disability. Dr. Miravalle has been involved in both and clinical and basic science research. He is a member of many professional societies and advisory boards. He has published numerous scientific articles and has served as a consultant to various scientific organizations.

As an educator Dr. Miravalle has been actively involved in direct teaching, development of curricular activities as well as administrative leadership positions. Before moving to the University of Florida, he served as Residency Program Director and Vice chair of Education, Chair Clinical Competency Committee for the Residency Program, Chair for the Adult Residency Education Committee, and Chair for Grand Rounds Committee for the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado. He developed and implemented several innovative educational programs including leadership training for neurology residents, mission based budgeting and educational RVU (eRVU) system and competency-based assessment program for GME. As a result of this work, he received the 2015 American Academy of Neurology Education Research Award, and the 2016 American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Faculty Innovation in Education Award.

Dr. Miravalle received his medical degree at the University of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his Neurology Residency training at Loyola University where he served as chief resident of education. He subsequently completed a clinical neuroimmunology fellowship at Harvard University. Dr Miravalle was the recipient of the 2012 American Neurological Association Medical Education Fellowship Award.
